Q: Do I have to purchase insurance for my car? What type? How soon?
A: Yes, you must have insurance on your auto loan. We require that you provide comprehensive and collision coverage within 10 days from the date of your vehicle purchase.

The insurance carrier you provide must be licensed to operate in California with a “B” or better rating from A.M. Best Company.

If you fail to insure your vehicle yourself, Sierra Credit may elect to add a lender’s single interest policy to your loan which provides only coverage to Sierra Credit in the event of repossession of your vehicle.
